LG Fusic LX550 Reviews
Sprint Fusic by LG (LG LX550) review by PC Magazine
Sprint’s whimsical Fusic by LG (aka the LG LX550) is the first in a new generation of music phones. We’ve had wireless music downloads for a while in the U.S., but this is the first phone with true wireless listening: music over Bluetooth.
The Fusic, which goes on sale on May 28, may look like a toy, but it doesn’t feel like one. The plastic case is solid in your hand. The rounded edges and oval buttons make it look more like a music player than a phone. (If you want something that looks professional, get a Samsung MM-A900 instead.) The front of the screen has an unusually bright 96-by-96 display and iPod-style music controls. Flip the phone open for a jaunty, illuminated keypad and another bright, if somewhat reflective, 176-by-220 display. At 3.8 by 1.9 by 0.8 inches and 4.2 ounces, the Fusic is about average size for a flip phone. There’s one annoying design flaw: If you put the phone down on a desk while it’s open, it tips backward.

The good: The LG LX550 has an attractive design, admirable call quality, and a range of high-end features, including Bluetooth, a speakerphone, an MP3 player, a Micro SD card slot, EV-DO support, and an FM transmitter.
The bad: The LG LX550 has shaky music quality, tricky keypad controls, and limited photo resolutions, and it does not offer analog roaming.
The bottom line: The attractive, high-performing LG LX550 is a solid addition to Sprint’s EV-DO lineup.
LG LX550 Review, Specs and Pictures
The LG LX550 will be released in the next few coming months to U.S. Cellular, the 8th largest wireless cell phone services provider in the United States. Dan Gralak, vice president of sales of LG Electronics quotes, “Partnering with U.S. Cellular allows LG to bring our feature set and our well-designed, stylish phones to a whole new group of consumers. This phone offers consumers the safety of hands-free operation and the convenience of voice command in addition to a great selection of features and the unique style of an LG handset.”
The LX550 comes with a built-in MP3 player that can play thousands of songs stored on the microSD removable disk slot. Users can also tune into their favourite FM stations via the FM Transmitter.
