Calling Plans & Free Cell Phones

Many plans will give you a free cellular phone when you sign up. There are a couple things to know about this. Most importantly you will be buying the phone up front. You will then get a rebate from a combination of the cellular provider and/or dealer who is selling you the phone. In some cases you can even make a profit doing this. One thing to note is the more of a monetary incentive they give the less features your phone will have, and the longer the contract will be that you are signing. If at all possible go for a 1 year contract over a 2 year contract. As technology continues to advance, you don�t want to be trapped in a long term contract and miss out on new features. Terminating a contract before its end date can incur large fees, often in excess of $200.
